Hurricane Florence has very slowly made her way out of the Cape Fear region, but the storm’s effects and subsequent flooding will be felt for weeks and months. We continue to hope for everyone’s safety and the best outcomes possible.
Wilmington and the surrounding beach towns, from Southport to Carolina Beach and Topsail, have begun the process of assessing damage, cleaning up, and restoring our beautiful neighborhoods. Electricity and internet are coming back to life, block-by-block. The logistics of access to basics like gas and food are falling into place.
The sense of community here is strong, as we have seen in the hundreds of social media messages, #WilmingtonStrong #CapeFearStrong #HurricaneFlorenceRecovery
The entire team at KBT Realty Group is here to help. #KBTFlorenceHelp
We are putting our community connections to work getting information, assistance, and resource referrals to everyone who needs them. We are busy at the “KBT command center” – getting back to business quickly to lend assistance in any way we can. We have already navigated the streets, checking on houses and texting or emailing photos and videos to friends, neighbors, and friends of neighbors. We have reported in real-time on road conditions. We are keeping tabs on store and gas station openings. We are hearing from our team members and friends in every neighborhood about what is working, and what is not.
Through our community connections and network of colleagues, we have a huge list of services and experts to help with any request you can throw at us.
If you need anything, from a hot breakfast to a tree service or emergency housing, please reach out.
